PSE-22USB / PSE-22AV
The PSE-22. 90% automatic Pick & Place machine: 5 stepper motors, controllable by Game Pad, can use centroids files and an optional 5.5 watts laser module.
PSE-22USB / PSE-22AV
The PSE-22 is a little larger than the PSE-20, it is controllable by game-pad. It come in 2 versions:
All the PSE-20 can be upgraded to PSE-22 buying the upgrade kit, Go to the PSE-20 upgrade.
What is in the box?
We strongly suggest you to buy an A1 cutting mat locally... It is too expensive to ship it from China, because it is quite heavy...

PSE-22 Features
The PSE-22 uses an Arduino UNO as a controller.
The firmware is GRBL, and it uses UGS software to control the movements. It is equipped with 5 stepper motors, can use centroids files to move automatically to the pads positions. Can move continuously at different speed or by steps of different sizes... the smaller step is less than 0.1 millimeters. The rotation of the component is controlled by gamepad too. The component is released automatically by a limit switch on the Z axis, or can be released by pedal. There is an optional 5.5 watts laser module, to cut your stencil or to engrave and cut what you like. Parts of the machine are cut with the machine itself on acrylic 3 and 5 millimeters. Size 54cm x 50cm (21.2 x 19.7 inches). Assorted nozzles of different size are provided for the suction system . The function of the buttons on the Game Pad is configurable.

Optional: components rack, green CUTTING MAT, 5.5W laser module and laser mount.
Five stepper motors

The stepper motors for the X and Y axis are NEMA 17-42. The PSE-22 uses 2 NEMA 17 for the Y axis and 1 for the X axis. The stepper motors for the Z axis and rotation are the small and powerful 28BYJ-48 in bipolar configuration. The X , Y and rotation are controlled by an Arduino UNO with a CNC shield. The Z axis is controlled by an Arduino NANO mounted on a PickSoEasy board. The precision of the stepper motors is 0.1 mm. These stepper are also ideal for the optional laser module.
Nozzles

The nozzle provided fit almost all scenarios. They are two 16G, one 18G, two 20G and two 21G. You will change the nozzle screwing and unscrewing in the connector, which has an internal thread. Half spin of the nozzle is enough to mount or unmount it. The length of the noozles is enough to let you see beyond it.
Two cameras

Having 2 microscopes eliminates the parallax error... you clearly see the exact alignment on both axes, and you can place the components trusting your eyes, on the go... no need for the reference point method as for the PSE-20 in 1 microscope configuration... The advantage of the AV microscopes is that they don't have delay. The USB ones at higher resolution have a delay. The advantage of the USB microscopes is that you can shoot pictures or record videos of your work on your notebook.

To operate any PSE model, no matter if manual or automatic, does not require special ability, but it does require a little bit of practice to understand how to move and how to stop steady in a place. The rotation can be controlled thanks to a rotary joint. The needle can rotate independently from the pipe connected to the vacuum pump. This is well shown in some videos in the media gallery. To release the component you will use a pedal switch and in the PSE-22 the component can be released also automatically.
Do not feel overwhelmed. The system is not as complicated as it seems. You can follow our video and our instruction. You will be guided step by step, and if you have some doubts, just send us a message. Visit the support area for the PSE-22.
